Voluntary homelessness for me means packing a small suitcase with jeans, sweaters, boots, and three or four soul-nurturing books. I’m not going to live in the park or in my car. But I am going to experiment with my life, live close to my granddaughter, and see what happens. Vacating the space that has held my hopes for so long, I’m going to transform those hopes into a more solid reality than a physical home could ever be.

My husband is planning to renovate our house and we try to get the actual prices of the materials needed for the renovation. When I was a kid I have always wanted to be an architect or engineer, because I wanted to be part of people’s lives.
