My mother in law gave me different kinds of expensive curtains as her gift for me for my birthday. We both have the same taste in choosing colors and style when it comes to curtains and other home accessories. I am not really expecting that she will give me a very expensive stuff. I am so close with my mother in-law and we treat each other more than like real mother and daughter. Being an additional member of a family is not that easy. We need to remember that it will take time to be accepted in the family. Problems with in-laws are inevitable especially so when they simply meddle in the couple’s parochial problems. The best way is to know the emotional state, social needs, physical problems or worries. Knowing them better would lead to better understanding of their attitudes towards you. We need to remember that developing resentment would only widen the gap between the families. We need to learn to accept our in-laws feelings in order for us to be able to understand them. I am so lucky that I am well accepted by my husband’s parents and families right away. I will always be thankful for all their efforts and help to me and my husband.

My husband is planning to renovate our house and we try to get the actual prices of the materials needed for the renovation. We have been planning to do the renovation almost a year now but we had to save enough in order for us to be able to do it. Now we have save enough money from our salary and we are now ready to start buying the necessary stuff that will be needed. We have talked to the persons that will be in charge to do the job. Renovating a house is not that easy because you need to spend a lot too. I and my husband made a marketing plan in buying the materials needed. We tried to compare the prices from different hardware in order for us to get the reasonable price for each items to be purchase. We have agreed to just purchase in bulk so that we will be able to avail a big discount. Our friends were able to help us to find the workers that will do the renovation. Our children were very excited about our plans because it will make their room more spacious and cozy to stay with. We are planning for a house party once the renovation is finish.

My friend last night asked me about opinions regarding what she has to change or renovate within her house. She showed me around and asked me to look at every corner of the house. She has a great house, which is why I wondered why she even needed to renovate or conduct home improvement. Her house was a two storey house, the first level was consist of her kitchen, dining area, living and receiving area and a bathroom at the end of the hallway. And her second floor was all about the rooms of the house, the house has 4 rooms, 1 for master’s bedroom, 1 for her sons room, 1 is for the maidens’ room and the 4^th room is left for their guest room. The masters’ room has its own bathroom and another bathroom that is being use for the whole house. She wanted to change the setting of her house, in terms of the lighting and repositioning of all the furniture that she has in their living area. I gave her some sort of advice and I suggest that she better ask the help of an expert like an interior decorator so that she will be directed properly about her plans.

Me and my wife together with our kids just moved in recently to this house that I got from the loan from the bank. It was just a small house, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, just the other day we decided to do some home improvement to make it look new and fresh again. We bought some new furniture and added some new shades of colors on the wall to give it another new feel. Having a new set of accessories and lighting’s that will be added to the space really has this big affect on improving your home. The lights determine the balance of dim and light adaptation of the given space. It is also adds an effect on the setting and to the mood of a certain area, for example, more dim or darker room makes it more sexy and intimate, while bright lighted rooms are more spacious and makes the space bigger to set in. Giving a different theme into your house is like being into another place; it is not like the usual feeling that you get because of the old design and aspect that you always get to see, just by adding new things to your place.

When I was a kid I have always wanted to be an architect or engineer, because I wanted to be part of people’s lives. I really opted to know the concept on how to build buildings or houses for people to live or settle in. But as time closes out on me, too bad I was not able to pursue my dream. Instead I studied on how to be a carpenter, because my parents were not capable of sending me to college. But in these sense I could still be part of some ones life, by building it for them. First I started as a helper to my uncle’s friend who is an expert handy man, from him I learned what skills I have right now. My first project with him was remodeling a rest-house by the lake. It was not an easy job for us to deal with. Because the owner of the house wanted so much change that it almost required us to rebuild the whole house itself. Home improvement takes a lot of ideas that you should be particularly aware of, especially on what or how it could possibly look like after the work has been done; or else or if your not satisfied with the outcome of it, it would only cost you double job.
